Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cell aggregate derived from primate pluripotent stem cells suspended in a physiologically acceptable medium.SOLUTION: The method for producing cells for transplantation comprises the following steps: (a) a step of seeding an hES single cell suspension in a bioreactor; a step of forming an hES cell aggregate by agitating the hES single cell suspension; and (c) a step of forming a bioreactor that contains an hES-derived cell aggregate that has differentiated in suspension due to contact of the hES cell aggregate with a differentiation agent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 23
