Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute NOx reduction control while suppressing increase of a post injection amount of fuel in performing supercharging.SOLUTION: A NOx catalyst 41 arranged in an exhaust passage 40 of an engine 1 occludes NOx in exhaust gas when an air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas is in a leaner state than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio, and reduces the occluded NOx when an air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas is in the vicinity of the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio or is in a richer state than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio. By control of a controller U, when a NOx reduction condition is satisfied, NOx reduction control is executed for setting an air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas at a target air-fuel ratio which allows reduction of NOx. When executing the NOx reduction control, turbocharging by an exhaust turbo charger 22 is limited, and an electric supercharger 23 is driven so that an air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas is kept at the target air-fuel ratio allowing reduction of NOx.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
