Abstract:
To provide a drive assisting system that is able to improve a driving skill of a driver through driving assistance.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive assisting system S comprises: a required drive capability estimating section (D estimating section) 22 that estimates a drive demand D (a required drive capability) required for a driver E in order to drive a vehicle V in a traffic environment, on the basis of surrounding traffic environment and a drive assistance provided for the driver E by the vehicle V; a current drive capability estimating section (a P estimating section) 21 that estimates a drive performance (current drive capability) of the driver E; and an altering section 23 that, in a case where the drive performance P is lower than the drive demand D, reduces the drive demand D by performing a reduction process (an information-related reduction process) in which the driver E is urged to grasp a traffic environment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
