Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit in which a rotary electric machine is assembled coaxially to an output shaft of an engine, which is configured to allow a clearance between an engine housing and the output shaft to be sealed and allow a path leading from an outer part of the power unit to an air gap between a rotor and a stator to be sealed, with a smaller number of components.SOLUTION: A mounting surface clearance C1 leading from an outer part of a power unit to an output shaft 22 is formed between a housing 21 (a housing-side mounting surface 21t) and an end plate 31 (an end plate-side mounting surface 31t). An output shaft clearance C2 is formed between an output shaft penetrated through the housing penetration hole 26 and the housing. A plate clearance C3 is formed between an output shaft penetrated through a plate penetration hole 31b or a rotor 32 and the end plate. The output shaft clearance and paths (D1 and E1) leading from the mounting surface clearance to the plate clearance are sealed with one seal member S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
