Title:
METHOD OF USING NON-RARE CELLS TO DETECT RARE CELLS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018185339
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide seminal computational approaches for utilizing data from non-rare cells to detect rare cells, such as circulating tumor cells (CTCs).SOLUTION: A method comprises; a) providing a sample suspected of having at least one rare cell and at least one cell that is present at a concentration that is at least 10 times that of the rare cell; b) bringing the sample into contact with at least one detectable agent; c) performing a cell imaging process on the sample of the step (b) to generate a cell image; and d) detecting the at least one rare cell in comparison with other cells in the sample by analyzing the cells from the image of the step (c), thereby detecting the rare cell in the sample.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
