Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved tracking system which is desired for use in various situations.SOLUTION: A system includes one or more retro-reflective markers positioned within a ride system and a tracking system that can detect the one or more retro-reflective markers to track a position of a passenger. The tracking system includes: an emitter that can emit light toward the one or more retro-reflective markers; a detector that can detect reflected light from the one or more retro-reflective markers; and a controller that can determine the position of the passenger relative to the one or more retro-reflective markers on the basis of detection of the reflected light and that can provide an indication of the position of the passenger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
