Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic focusing device, a lens device and an automatic focusing method that can irradiate a subject being photographed with auxiliary light adaptively to change in zoom magnification or subject distance, and also can irradiate the subject with the auxiliary light with less influence on an automatic focusing optical system.SOLUTION: An infrared dichroic mirror 26 causes subject light for automatic focusing to branch off from on an optical path guiding subject light, made incident on a photographic lens 14, to an imaging part 16. The subject light for automatic focusing is pupil-divided by a pupil dividing lens 41 arranged on a light shield plate 42. The subject light for automatic focusing having passed through the pupil dividing lens 41 is imaged by a focus sensor 43 to be acquired as pupil information. A focus control part 32 controls the focus of the photographic lens 14 to a focusing position based upon the pupil information. An auxiliary light source 33 arranged on the light shield plate 42 irradiates a subject with auxiliary light for automatic focusing through the photographic lens 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
