Abstract:
To suppress occurrence of double feeding until reaching a state immediately before no loading from a full load state.SOLUTION: A printer 1 comprises a paper feed tray 10, a roller 11 for conveying a paper sheet 100, an arm 12 for supporting the roller 11, a pressing plate 13 for pressing the paper sheet 100 to the roller 11, and a swing mechanism 70 for swinging the pressing plate 13. The swing mechanism 70 swings the pressing plate 13 in such a manner that a contact angle θ formed by the arm 12 and the paper sheet 100 brought into contact with the roller 11 placed on the pressing plate 13 is maintained to be less than the maximum angle as an angle upstream in a conveyance direction, that is formed by the one paper sheet 100 and the arm 12 in a case where the roller 11 is brought into contact with the one paper sheet 100, assuming that the one paper sheet 100 is placed on the pressing plate 13 in a full load state, until reaching a no load state immediately before placing the one paper sheet 100 on a paper feed tray 10 from the full load state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
