Abstract:
To achieve density correction processing that is not easily affected by shift in period due to eccentricity of a rotating body, such as a photoreceptor in storage and reading of density sensor data related to the density correction processing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a rotating body used for printing, and has a detection unit that detects a reference position of the rotating body; an acquisition unit that acquires density data of toner adhered to the rotating body; a calculation unit that calculates unevenness in density of the rotating body on the basis of the density data; and a correction unit that performs correction processing related to the printing on the basis of the density unevenness. The acquisition unit separates the density data according to whether the number of rotations of the rotating body based on the detected reference position is an even number or an odd number and individually acquires the density data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 22
