Abstract:
To develop formulation and delivery methods for overcoming restriction of the treatment based on single liposome preparations.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the use of multiple lipid compositions for delivery of drugs or other agents to a subject. The methods of the invention include the administration of separate lipid compositions including a therapeutic liposome and an attacking agent. The therapeutic liposome is a liposomal component containing a therapeutic agent and/or other agents (e.g., diagnostic agents). The attacking agent is a lipid nanoparticle (a liposome, a micelle, or a mixture thereof) containing a triggering agent which can increase the release of cargo from the therapeutic liposome.SELECTED DRAWING: None
