Abstract:
To solve the challenges of patient compliance and the challenges associated with formulating tablets of sulfate salts.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a unique and versatile dual use tablet formulation of a sulfate salt, such as sodium sulfate, that can be administered by direct oral ingestion or, alternatively, by disintegration in water prior to oral ingestion. In one aspect, the present invention provides an oral pharmaceutical tablet composition that includes at least one sulfate salt and can be administered by direct oral ingestion and by disintegration in water prior to oral ingestion.SELECTED DRAWING: None
