Abstract:
To enhance the temperature holding performance of an exhaust emission control device at the traveling of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An engine 1 comprises an exhaust passage 50 connected to a rear side of a cylinder head 14 in a vehicle fore-and-aft direction, an exhaust manifold 60 and an exhaust emission control system 70 are arranged in the exhaust part 50 in an order from an upstream side in a flow direction of an exhaust gas, and a GPF device 73 having gas purification performance is accommodated in the exhaust emission control system 70. The exhaust emission control system 70 is located below the exhaust manifold 60, and arranged so as to be overlapped on the exhaust manifold 60 in a vehicle width direction. The exhaust emission control system 70 is arranged in a posture protruding toward a rear side of the exhaust manifold 60 in a vehicle fore-and-aft direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
