Abstract:
To obtain a liquid developer supply device that prevents degradation of a liquid developer, compared with a configuration that drives a supply roll in a state where the inner pressure of a supply unit is equal to or larger than a pressure outside the supply unit during standby for development.SOLUTION: A liquid developer supply device comprises: a supply roll that rotates, and holds a liquid developer in concave parts formed in an outer peripheral surface to supply the liquid developer to a supply target body; and a supply unit that supplies the liquid developer to between a seal member in contact with the supply roll upstream in the rotation direction and a regulation member in contact with the supply roll downstream in the rotation direction to form liquid developer accumulation. At least during standby for development, the liquid developer supply device drives the supply roll in a state where the inner pressure of the supply unit is smaller than a pressure outside the supply unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
