Abstract:
To provide a connection member capable of effectively absorbing an excessive force (impact force) even in a case where the forces acts in a predetermined direction.SOLUTION: A connection member 10 comprises: an inner peripheral layer 11 forming a hollow part 21 and consisting of a fiber reinforced resin; a foam layer 12 coating the inner peripheral layer 11 along an outer peripheral surface 11a and consisting of a resin foam; and an outer peripheral layer 13 coating the foam layer 12 along an outer peripheral surface 12a and consisting of a fiber reinforced resin. A main body 14 has a trapezoidal contour on a cross section that is orthogonal to an extension direction L. The main body 14 includes, in the cross section: a bottom side part 23 extending in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which a force acts; a pair of lateral side parts 24 and 24 continued to the bottom side part 23 and extending so as to be close to each other in a direction away from the bottom side part 23; and a top side part 25 which is formed so as to connect the pair of lateral side parts 24 and 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
