Title:
MAIN BEARING FOR CRANK SHAFT OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2019078377
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a main bearing capable of reducing frictional loss in operating an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A main bearing for a journal portion of a crank shaft having a pair of upper and lower half-split bearings forming the cylindrical shape by being combined to each other, is provided. Each half-split bearing has a main cylindrical portion including a circumferential central portion of the half-split bearing and a sliding face at a radial inner side, and crash reliefs formed to have wall thickness thinner than the main cylindrical portion, at both sides in the circumferential direction of the sliding face. Only the upper half-split bearing has an oil groove formed on its inner peripheral face, and an oil hole penetrated from the oil groove to an outer peripheral face, and the lower half-split bearing has an axial groove on a sliding face between the circumferential central portion and the crash relief at the front side in a rotating direction of the journal portion. The axial groove is separated from the circumferential central portion toward the front side in the rotating direction by a circumferential angle of 10° or more, and separated from the crash relief at the front side in the rotating direction of the journal portion by a circumferential angle 10° or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
