Abstract:
To provide a rotary damper capable of largely changing torque (attenuation force) in a rotation speed area that is a predetermined rotation speed or more.SOLUTION: A rotary damper 1 is equipped with a cylinder 10; a rotator 40; and a plurality of granular materials 90. The cylinder 10 has a storage space S1. The rotator 40 is disposed in a storage space S1. The rotator 40 has a rotator body 40A, and a projecting body 40B. The rotator body 40A is rotatably supported by the cylinder 10. The projecting body 40B is inserted in the rotator body 40A, and if the rotator body 40A becomes a predetermined rotation speed or more, projects out from the rotator body 40A in a radial direction from a rotary axis of the rotator body 40A. The plurality of granular bodies 90 is filled in the storage space S1 around the rotator 40 disposed in the storage space S1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
