Abstract:
To provide an electric motor car that is able to prevent overcharge while sufficiently restricting speed when traveling downward on a hill.SOLUTION: An electric motor car 1A comprises: a battery 2; a travel motor 4 that drives a travel wheel 3; a travel inverter 5 that performs bidirectional power conversion; a battery monitoring unit 12 that outputs a battery voltage value; and a control unit 14 that controls the travel inverter 5 on the basis of the battery voltage value. (1) In first regeneration in which the battery voltage value is lower than a preset threshold value, the control unit 14 controls the travel inverter 5 such that an amount of slippage of the travel motor 4 is equal to a preset first target amount of slippage. (2) In second regeneration in which the battery voltage value is higher than the threshold value, the control unit controls the travel inverter 5 such that the amount of slippage is equal to a preset second target amount of slippage. The efficiency of the travel motor 4 in which the amount of slippage is set as the second target amount of slippage is lower than the efficiency of the travel motor 4 in which the amount of slippage is set as the first target amount of slippage. The torque of the travel motor 4 in which the amount of slippage is set as the second target amount of slippage is substantially equal to the torque of the travel motor 4 in which the amount of slippage is set as the first target amount of slippage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
