Abstract:
To provide a culture apparatus for circulating a culture medium for culturing microbes and cells which are weak in shear, to an external heat exchanger for efficient heat exchange.SOLUTION: A culture apparatus comprises: a culture tank 1 for holding a culture medium L; agitation means 3 for agitating the culture medium L in the culture tank 1; gas supply means 2 for supplying a gas G into the culture medium L; and an external heat exchanger 5 connected to an upper part of the culture tank 1 through an upper circulation line 4 and connected to a lower part of the culture tank 1 through a lower circulation line 7. To the upper circulation line 4 or external heat exchanger 5, one end of a pressure equalizer 6 for removing air bubbles B of the gas G from the culture medium L is connected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
