Abstract:
To improve comfortableness for an occupant in a vehicle while hindering a decrease in catalyst temperature.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system comprises: a power generation unit including an electric motor that generates power with power output by an internal combustion engine that outputs power used by the electric motor; a storage battery that stores power generated by the power generation unit; a traveling electric motor coupled to a drive wheel of a vehicle and configured to rotate the drive wheel by driving with power supplied by the storage battery; a travel planning unit that generates travel plan information indicating a travel plan to a destination of the vehicle; an operation planning unit that generates operation plan information, which is an operation plan for operating a power generation unit based on a travel plan information generated by the travel planning unit; a catalyst temperature estimation unit that, on the basis of the operation plan information, estimates a temperature of a catalyst provided in the internal combustion engine; and a correction unit that, on the basis of the operation plan information and the temperature of the catalyst estimated by the catalyst temperature estimation unit, corrects an operation plan to prevent an occurrence of a period in which the temperature of the catalyst decreases to a threshold or below.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
