Abstract:
To provide a surface light-emitting device capable of realizing a large-area light-emitting region with satisfactory light emission.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a surface light-emitting device 10 comprising a substrate 11 and multiple surface light-emitting elements 21 disposed on the substrate 11. Each of the multiple surface light-emitting elements 21 includes: a first electrode 13 closer to the substrate 11; a second electrode 15 farther from the substrate 11; and an organic light-emitting layer 14 held between the first electrode 13 and the second electrode 15. The second electrode 15 consists of a thin film metal layer having light transmissivity. The second electrode 15 of one surface light-emitting element 21 between the adjacent surface light-emitting elements 21 and the first electrode 13 of the other surface light-emitting element are connected between the adjacent surface light-emitting elements 21. The surface light-emitting device also comprises a ground layer 12 which is present between the adjacent surface light-emitting elements 21 and disposed between the second electrode 15 and the substrate 11 while being brought into contact with the second electrode 15 of the one surface light-emitting element 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
