To provide an image forming apparatus that can achieve stable electrical connection without being affected by assembly accuracy and a mechanical load.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a connection mechanism. The connection mechanism electrically connects a contact. The connection mechanism includes a connection member and a holding member. The connection member is formed of an elastic material in contact with the contact. The holding member holds the connection member. The holding member includes a base part and an expansion part.
