To improve waviness caused by an end in a width direction of a sheet extending in a conveying direction more than the vicinity of a center.SOLUTION: A sheet processing apparatus includes a tension applying device for applying a tension in a conveying direction to a central region in a width direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the sheet by nipping and conveying the sheet, in a state where the sheet is conveyed in a shortest conveying path by being guided with an endless guide member while the sheet is wound around multiple roller pairs that are provided at intervals in the conveying direction and downstream in a conveying direction of a fixing unit for heating and fixing a toner image on the sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
