Abstract:
To suppress a rise of the rotation of a traveling drive source when fastening a lockup clutch, and to reduce a change of a behavior of a vehicle at the fastening while shortening a time necessary for the fastening.SOLUTION: A lockup control device of an automatic transmission comprises a torque converter 4 arranged between an engine 1 and a continuously variable transmission 6, and having a lockup clutch 3. The lockup control device also comprises a lockup control part 12c for increasing an LU-indication pressure difference by a prescribed ramp gradient after raising the LU-indication pressure difference up to an initial pressure difference, and fastening the lockup clutch 3 when a lockup fastening condition is established when the lockup clutch 3 is in a release state. The lockup control part 12c sets the initial pressure difference at a value which is obtained by subtracting a ramp offset C calculated according to the ramp gradient from a learning value A of a meet-point indication pressure difference at which the lockup clutch 3 starts to possess a lockup capacity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
