Abstract:
To provide a power unit of an electric vehicle capable of operating a main controller and a high voltage contactor by an external small power supply even when a battery for an auxiliary machine cannot operate the high voltage contactor due to overdischarge.SOLUTION: A sub-controller of a power unit of an electric vehicle causes a low voltage contactor to block a battery for an auxiliary machine, operates a low voltage converter, and operates a main controller after causing a capacitor to store electric charge for operating the main controller and a high voltage contactor, on the other hand, the main controller operates a high voltage converter after causing the high voltage contactor to connect a battery for drive with the high voltage contactor when an external small power supply is connected with a terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
