Abstract:
To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor capable of improving reliability sufficiently, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a lamination structure where a dielectric layer and an internal electrode layer are laminated alternately, and a plurality of laminated internal electrode layers are formed to be exposed alternately to two end faces facing each other. Out of an end margin area where the internal electrode layers, exposed to the same end face, face each other not via the internal electrode layer exposed to a different end face, and a side margin area provided so that a plurality of laminated internal electrode layers in the lamination structure are provided to cover the end extending to two lateral faces other than the two end faces, concentrations of Mn, Si, B to the chief ingredient ceramic in at least one margin area are higher than those of Mn, Si, B to the chief ingredient ceramic in the dielectric layer of the lamination structure, and the donor element concentration to the chief ingredient ceramic in the margin area is lower than the donor element concentration to the chief ingredient ceramic in the dielectric layer of the lamination structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
