Abstract:
To provide a cooling device of an electric motor in which a cylindrical cooling sleeve is inserted between a cylindrical portion of a casing and a stator of the electric motor so as to form a cooling fluid passage between the cylindrical portion, a cooling fluid passage has a fin region having a plurality of cooling channels and a splitting header region and a merging header region communicating with both circumferential ends of the cooling channel, and a cooling fluid inlet for introducing a cooling fluid into the splitting header region and a cooling fluid outlet that derives the cooling fluid from the merging header area are provided on the cylindrical portion, to improve the cooling efficiency of at least the splitting header region.SOLUTION: A plurality of guide recesses 31A, 31B, 31C, 31D, 31E, and 31F extending along a predetermined flow direction of cooling fluid are formed on an outer surface of a cooling sleeve 14 in at least a splitting header region AB among the splitting header region AB and a merging header region AJ.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
