Abstract:
To provide a toner that is excellent in mechanical strength and charging property and has a small particle diameter with high production efficiency.SOLUTION: A method for producing toner particles includes a preparation step of preparing an aqueous medium containing at least poor water soluble inorganic fine particles, a polymerization step of polymerizing a polymerizable monomer to obtain a toner precursor, and a concentration step of increasing a solid content ratio of a toner in a toner precursor dispersion in which the toner precursor is dispersed in the aqueous medium, in which in the polymerization step, when a polymerization conversion rate of the polymerizable monomer contained in the toner precursor is 90% or more, a polymerization initiator is added, a polarity of an ionic residue derived from the polymerization initiator and a polarity in the aqueous medium of the poor water soluble inorganic fine particles are reverse polarities, and the concentration step is performed using a centrifugal separator.SELECTED DRAWING: None
