Abstract:
To reduce load for moving a sealing member in a configuration using the sealing member compressed to seal an opening.SOLUTION: A developer storage unit includes: a frame body having a developer storage chamber and an opening for discharging a developer; and a sealing unit for sealing the opening. The sealing unit includes: a shaft member; and a sealing section mounted on the shaft member, which is the sealing section compressed by the shaft member and the frame body. The sealing unit rotates in an opening direction from a closing position to an opening position. The frame body has a contact wall which contacts with the sealing section when the sealing unit moves from the closing position to the opening position. The contact wall and the shaft member are arranged so that an amount of the sealing section to be compressed is reduced toward a downstream side of the opening direction in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to a rotation axis when the sealing unit rotates in the opening direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
