Abstract:
To acquire a more accurate torque value than a prior art without using a torque sensor.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: An image forming apparatus comprises: a motor 3 that drives to rotate a rotating body for forming an image; a current measuring unit 21 that measures a motor current Im flowing in an energization path including a coil of the motor 3 at a measurement timing that is a timing after the motor is activated; a torque acquisition unit 202 that acquires a torque value DT of the motor 3 on the basis of a measured value DIm of the motor current Im; and a correction unit 203 that, in acquiring the torque value DT with the torque acquisition unit 202, performs correction for cancelling an error based on one or both of a change in characteristics according to a motor speed V of the motor 3 at the measurement timing and a change in characteristics according to the motor current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
