Abstract:
To improve image quality of an image reconstructed due to loss of data in projection data.SOLUTION: A medical image processing apparatus according to an embodiment comprises an acquisition unit, a first generation unit, a reconstruction unit, a second generation unit, and a third generation unit. The acquisition unit acquires information concerning lost data on the basis of first projection data obtained by scanning a subject. The first generation unit generates second projection data where the lost data in the first projection data is interpolated on the basis of the information concerning the lost data. The reconstruction unit generates a first reconstructed image by reconstructing the second projection data. The second generation unit generates third projection data by forward projecting the first reconstructed image. The third generation unit generates fourth projection data by updating the second projection data on the basis of the third projection data. The reconstruction unit generates a second reconstructed image on the basis of the fourth projection data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
