Abstract:
To efficiently process a workpiece by enabling mounting of soft jaws with different forms of serration to an existing chuck mechanism and reducing setup time.SOLUTION: A chuck mechanism 10 includes: a chuck body 110; plural master jaws 120 disposed on an end surface 112 of the chuck body 110, and having a first engaging surface on which prescribed serration is formed; plural soft jaws 160 disposed on the master jaws 120 respectively, and having a second engaging surface on which prescribed serration different from that of the first engaging surface is formed; and plural jaw mounting adapters 130 having a first opposite engaging surface which can be engaged with the first engaging surface, on one surface, and a second opposite engaging surface which can be engaged with the second engaging surface, on the other surface on an opposite side to the one surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
