To detect the occurrence of malfunction in a sensor.SOLUTION: A power supply unit 300 comprises: a microphone capacitor 331 which detects an aerosol generation request; a PTC thermistor 332 which detects an electric change in an own sensor based on an electric change in the microphone capacitor 331, and outputs a value based on the change; and a control unit 340 which, on the basis of the value outputted by the PTC thermistor 332, detects whether the microphone capacitor 331 is in a normal state or in an abnormal state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
