Abstract:
To provide an attachment type spindle device which can easily communicate an air feed path for feeding air with a rotation spindle side air feed path of a rotation spindle of a spindle unit for a machine tool, and a spindle unit for a machine tool.SOLUTION: An attachment type spindle device 20 comprises: a housing body 30 comprising a taper shank part 21 which can be fitted to a taper-shaped fitting hole 5 formed on a rotation spindle 3 of a spindle unit 1 for a machine tool; and a rotation shaft 50 which can relatively rotate with respect to the housing body 30 through a static pressure air bearing, and a tool can be fitted to the tip end of the rotation shaft. The taper shank part 21 and the housing body 30 comprise at least: an air feed path 35 for a bearing for feeding air to static pressure air bearings 40, 41, 42; and a driving air feed path 36 which drives the rotation shaft to rotate by ejection of air. At least one air feed path out of the air feed path 35 for a bearing, a driving air feed path 36, and an air feed path 37 for a brake, is opened to a taper surface 22 of the taper shank part 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
