Abstract:
To provide a machine tool that can determine whether a tool can be corrected and exchanged without using a dedicated sensor.SOLUTION: A machine tool 1 comprises: a machining load measuring instrument 31 that measures a machining load during machining of a work-piece W using a tool T; a threshold memorizing part 34 that memorizes a threshold Th2 determined based on information on a relation between a work-piece index representing a surface state of the work-piece W and the machining load, the threshold Th2 being used for correction or exchange of the tool T; and an implementation determining part 35 that determines whether correction or exchange of the tool T can be implemented, on the basis of the machining load related to each of a plurality of work-pieces W measured when repeatedly machining the work-pieces W sequentially and the threshold Th2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
