Abstract:
To provide silica glass yarn and silica glass cloth having a stable signal transmission speed because of stable characteristic impedance in addition to a low dielectric constant and a low loss.SOLUTION: Silica glass yarn has a density of curled parts of 0.10/cm or less, the curled parts having an inflection point of a curvature diameter of 5 mm or less and a bending angle of 120 degrees or less. Preferably, the silica glass yarn has a tensile strength of 2.0 GPa or more, and silica glass filaments composing the silica glass yarn have a breaking starting strength of 80.0% or more of the tensile strength of the silica glass yarn.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
