Abstract:
To reduce or prevent the occurrence of the same data string as a control code in serially transmitted data.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes an image sensor, an encoding unit that performs error correction encoding on data representing an image signal read from an image sensor to generate first data, a conversion unit that converts a data part having the same pattern as the synchronization code representing a synchronization signal into a different pattern within a range in which correction can be performed by error correction coding in the first data or second data obtained by applying a predetermined process to the first data to generate third data, an addition unit that adds the synchronization code to the third data on the basis of a timing of the synchronization signal, and a transmission unit that serially transmits the data to which the synchronization code is added by the addition unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
