Abstract:
To provide a thermal transfer printing device which can correspond to both of a contact type tag and a wireless type tag with slight change of a component.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer printing device has a thermal head and a platen roll. According to the thermal transfer printing device, a thermal transfer sheet pulled out from a thermal transfer sheet ribbon and an image receiving layer are superposed and are pinched between the thermal head and the platen roll, the thermal head heats the thermal transfer sheet, transfers a color material to the image receiving sheet, thereby printing an image. This thermal transfer printing device comprises: a sensor which reads information from a tag attached to the thermal transfer sheet ribbon; and a main substrate to which the sensor is connected. A wireless type sensor, which reads information from a wireless type tag attached to the thermal transfer sheet ribbon, and a contact type sensor, which reads information from a contact type tag attached to the thermal transfer sheet ribbon, can be connected to the main substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
