To enable a visual inspection target region to be appropriately discriminated in accordance with difference in surface roughness.SOLUTION: A surface roughness map M is used in which, to each of a plurality of pixels P included in a distance image I obtained by imaging a good workpiece G, a surface roughness in a prescribed range A including the pixels P is imparted. When a reference surface roughness 61 is input by a user, a low-surface roughness region L composed of pixels P having a surface roughness less than the reference surface roughness 61 is extracted (step S201), and a first and a second inspection target region R1, R2 that correspond to the result of this extraction are displayed on a display 33 (step S204). Therefore, the user can set a first and a second inspection target region R1, R2 while confirming the first and second inspection target regions R1, R2 displayed on the display 33, by changing the reference surface roughness 61 to be input. As a result, the user can appropriately discriminate the visual inspection target region in accordance with a difference in the surface roughness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
