Abstract:
To further enlarge a region in which multi-ignition can be performed, in the control of a spark ignition type internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: In a control device of an internal combustion engine for controlling the spark ignition type internal combustion engine which applies induction voltages generated by the blockage of electricity-carrying after carrying electricity to an ignition coil to electrodes of an ignition plug, and induces a discharge between the electrodes, two times or more of the discharges are performed for the purpose of ignition during a one-time cycle of one cylinder on condition that a multi-ignition permission condition including that a temperature of the ignition coil or its periphery is lower than a prescribed value is established, or a one-time discharge is performed for the purpose of the ignition during the one-time cycle of one cylinder, and when the two times or more of the discharges are performed for the purpose of the ignition during the one-time cycle of one cylinder, a length of a time for carrying electricity to the ignition coil for inducing the one-time discharge is further shortened compared with the case that only the one-time discharge is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
