To provide a feature amount extraction device capable of appropriately extracting the amount of features while suppressing a load for the extraction.SOLUTION: An identification device 100 includes: an acquisition section 11 for acquiring a taken image obtained by imaging a predetermined object; a specification section 12 for specifying a linear region extending in a plurality of directions different from each other from a region including the predetermined object in the taken image acquired by the acquisition section 11; and an extraction section 13 for extracting the amount of features based on pixel values from the linear region specified by the specification section 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
