Abstract:
To provide an encoder device which can, without using a backup battery, detect the number of moving times a moving body during a period while supply of electric power from a power source is stopped.SOLUTION: In an encoder device 1, a first encoder 40 counts the cumulative number of rotations of a rotary member 15 during a period while electric power is supplied from a power source 30, on the basis of a first magnetic field of a magnetic field generation unit 20 that changes when the rotary member 15 rotates. Furthermore, a second encoder 50 is capable of updating the cumulative number of rotations stored in a memory 85 on the basis of the number of rotations of the rotary member 15 counted by a count processing unit 80, even while the supply of electric power from the power source 30 is stopped, since the second encoder includes a magnetic element 60 for outputting a pulse signal that corresponds to a change of a second magnetic field of the magnetic field generation unit 20 at the time the rotary member 15 rotates, and a power supply circuit 70 for generating a drive voltage Vdd from the pulse signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
