Abstract:
To suppress abrasion of a cutting device for cutting root portions of crops so as to prevent a large load from being applied to driving of the cutting device in a sugar cane harvester.SOLUTION: A sugar cane harvester includes: a harvesting part disposed in a front lower part of a machine body in a state of having a cutting device 13 for cutting root portions of crops in a field; a conveying device of a rear upward inclined posture, conveying crops harvested by the harvesting part to a machine rear upper side; a load sensor 79 for detecting a load applied to a driving device 20 for driving the cutting device 13; and a lifting device 58 capable of changing the heights of the harvesting part and the conveying device to a travel device. The lifting device 58 performs lifting operation for the harvesting part and the conveying device when a detection value of the load sensor 79 becomes higher than a riser side set value set in advance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
