Abstract:
To provide a system and method for estimating the dense correspondence of pixels in a digital image that includes successive motion sequences.SOLUTION: The method applies a multimodal image to a neural network and generates a multimodal feature for each individual pixel. Each multimodal image includes a first modality image, and a corresponding second modality image different from the first modality image. The neural network includes a first subnetwork trained so as to extract a first feature from the first modality pixel, a second subnetwork trained so as to extract a second feature from the second modality pixel, and a combiner constituted so as to combine the first and second features and generate the multimodal feature of the multimodal image. A dense correspondence between the pixels is estimated by comparing the pair of multimodal features of the multimodal image, and the dense correspondence between the pixels is outputted.SELECTED DRAWING: None
