Abstract:
To provide a toner that achieves both a reduction in glossiness of an image and prevention of contamination of a paper ejection member.SOLUTION: A toner includes a toner particle having a toner base particle and an organic silicon polymer on the surface of the toner base particle. The organic silicon polymer has a specific structure. The organic silicon polymer has projections on an outer surface of the toner particle. In a cross-sectional image of the toner particle obtained by a scanning transmission electron microscope, the projections include "specific height projections" having a projection height of 40 nm or more and 300 nm or less. In the specific height projections, the number ratio P (D/w) of specific height projections having a ratio of a projection diameter D to a projection width w (D/w) of 0.33 or more and 0.80 or less is 70 number% or more. The amount of tetrahydrofuran insolubles in the toner is 30 mass% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
