Abstract:
To enhance a purification rate of hydrocarbon at low cost.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device includes a first catalyst (front stage catalyst 210) provided in an exhaust pipe 160, a second catalyst (rear stage catalyst 220) provided on the downstream side of the first catalyst in the exhaust pipe 160, a bypass pipe 230 branched from the upstream side of the second catalyst in the exhaust pipe 160 and reconnected to the upstream side of the second catalyst in the exhaust pipe 160, a hydrocarbon adsorbent 240 provided in the bypass pipe 230, and a changeover control section 272 for switching a passage path of exhaust gas to the bypass pipe 230 on the basis of a degree of deterioration of the first catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
