Abstract:
To provide an imaging device that performs display free from a sense of incongruity while securing a display frame rate even when live view display is performed by combining a plurality of images.SOLUTION: An imaging device switches an image combining method between first control and second control in accordance with a state of the imaging device. In the first control, combined images for display are generated using an image generated by an imaging unit, a past image, captured by the imaging unit and stored by a storage unit in the past, and past combined images, combined by a combining unit and stored by the storage unit. In the second control, a first operation and a second operation are alternately performed. In the first operation, a preliminary image is generated using a past image, captured by the imaging unit and stored by the storage unit in the past, and past combined images, combined by the combining unit and stored by the storage unit. In the second operation, combined images for display are generated using an image generated by the imaging unit, a past image, captured by the imaging unit and stored by the storage unit in the past, past combined images, combined by the combining unit and stored by the storage unit or preliminary combined images.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
