Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the leak of Na by welding an alloy such as aluminum in contact with the insulating ceramic hermetically connected to the end section of a solid electrolyte to form part of a negative electrode container, then connecting the remainder of the negative electrode container. CONSTITUTION:A melting die 2-1 is installed on the side face of insulating ceramic member 1, and a melting die 2-2 is installed on the end sections of a sodium ion conductive solid electrolyte 3 and connecting glass 4 respectively. An alloy such as aluminum with a wire rod shape is filled between the melting dice 2-1, 2-2 and melted while being heated, a melting die 2-3 is placed at the preset position, and a molten metal such as melted aluminum is poured between the melting dice 2-1 through 2-3 to form part 5 of a negative electrode container. Na is filled into a negative electrode chamber 6, then the cover section 7 of the negative electrode container is welded to part 5 of the negative electrode container. The leak of Na can be prevented.
