Abstract:
The device incorporates pockets (25,26), to hold the packages, with relatively movable walls (30,31,32,33) for opening and closing. The distances between neighbouring axis-parallel revolvers (21,22,23) are chosen, so that the movement paths of the circulating pockets cut across each other in a transfer area (27) for the packages (20). The pocket walls are shaped to move past each other without contact in the transfer area. To transfer packages from one revolver to another, the pocket walls are movable between opening and closing positions, so that the packages are freed from the pockets of one revolver, and received by those of the other one.
