Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an axial magnetic levitation motor in which the structure is simplified by eliminating the levitation winding and positional control is also simplified while preventing magnetic saturation from having effect on the direction of levitating force. CONSTITUTION: The axial magnetic levitation motor comprises a stator 1 for generating a rotational field on the end face, a rotor 2 having axial end face disposed oppositely to the end face of the rotor 1 and being rotated by the rotating field of the stator 1, a position sensor 5 for the rotor 2, and a position controller 6 for comparing a detection value received from the position sensor 5 with a set value and varying the amplitude of the rotating field of the stator 1.
