Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify monitor circuit and monitor function while enhancing reliability and reducing cost by collectively monitoring the state where at least one voltage level at each solenoid terminal has 'L' level in synchronism with the nonconductive period of a solenoid. CONSTITUTION:A software for performing abnormality detection at the time of chopper control is built in a CPU3. An output monitor signal is delivered from a port P11 in synchronism with the nonconductive period of a solenoid l during chopper control and a decision is made whether the output monitor signal has 'H' level. When an abnormality, e.g. ground fauly, short circuit, or disconnection, is not present at each terminal 2u, 2v, 2w, voltages at all terminals have 'H' levels during nonconduction period of the solenoid 1 and thereby an output monitor signal has 'L' level. When an abnormality occurs at least one of the terminals 2U, 2V, 2w, the terminal 2u has 'L' voltage level during nonconduction period of the solenoid 1 and thereby the output monitor signal goes 'H'.
